Domino's plans to dramatically increase the number of its US locations. Currently, there are about 5,650 Domino's locations in the United States. Over the next ten years, Domino's wants to open about 2,350 more.
Do you have construction management experience? If so, Domino's is looking to add a Construction Services Specialist to their Field Services team, to assist with the project management of new restaurants, relocations and modernization of existing restaurants. This team member will also be accountable for preparing, tracking and managing multiple project’s budgets, schedules and vendors, concurrently. In addition, oversight will include, but not be limited to: scope and budget preparation, hiring architects and general contractors, supervising consultants, plan review for errors and omissions, creating detailed schedules, permitting and inspections. This candidate will work closely with a cross-functional team that will include Real Estate, Franchise Recruiting, Equipment and Supply, and Franchise Development Leadership. An ideal candidate will be challenged with advising the Franchisor and Franchisee on all construction related matters.
Qualify, select, develop and lead outside resources (general contractors, architects and vendors)
Understand how to read and interpret architectural engineering, furniture and space planning drawings
Manage the project bidding, contract and change orders
Maintain accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation for all project assignments
Ensures quality control standards are in place (schedules and budgets) and is accountable for both
Resolve problems that are not well-defined, identify and deliver the best solution
Work with cross-functional partners (Franchise Development, Training, Store Operations and Legal) to identify opportunities and provide world-class recruiting support
CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS WILL BE A STRONG FIT FOR THIS ROLE:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction or related degree
3-5 years of construction management experience
Ability to travel (30-50%)
Flexibility with work hours and available on call after working hours for handling of urgent issues
Proficient with Excel and MS Project
Experience in dealing with and gaining approval from municipal agencies
Strong internal and external customer service focus
Ambitious, driven, energetic and influencing
Ability to diagnose problems, identify and drive appropriate solutions
