Koch Specialty Plant Services, LLC (KSPS) is seeking a highly-motivated, self-starting individual for a great career opportunity as KSPS’ Northeast Technical Sales Representative serving our customers in the Northeast and Midwest regions of the United States. This position is home-based, with successful candidate residing in the Northeast (Philadelphia/New Jersey market area) or the Midwest (Chicago market area).

The successful candidate will lead business development specific to KSPS family of services and Koch-Glitsch, LP (KGLP) Mass Transfer Replacement Equipment sales. This role will work closely with other KSPS/ KGLP sales/field personnel, estimating, engineering, and manufacturing resources to meet customer expectations and to achieve the role’s objectives. The successful candidate will be provided the tools and resources, including Koch industries’ MBM® and The Guiding Principles, needed to succeed in creating measurable and sustainable value for KSPS and its customers, while ensuring that sales and business development efforts support KSPS / KGLP overall strategy and goals.

This role requires strategic planning and business development within the northeast region of the United States. An understanding of refining, chemical, and petrochemical markets will be beneficial, with an understanding of mass transfer equipment (trays, packing and tower Internals) and industrial construction (construction management, project management) desirable. Technical aptitude, natural sales instincts, high-level customer focus, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are highly sought attributes. Timely and accurate reporting, market intelligence, relationship management skills, effective presentation skills are essential components of this role.

Work Experience, Education & Skills Required:
Associate or Technical Degree
One or more of the following: Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of Project Management experience or 5+ years in Technical Sales
Experience building and developing working relationships with customers (internal and external)
Good organizational skills
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Critical thinking skills with an emphasis on value creation
Ability to travel up to 50+% including overnight

Work Experience, Education & Skills preferred:
Bachelors Degree or higher in Business or Engineering
5+ years experience in the chemical/petrochemical industry
Established relationships in chemical or petrochemical industry
Experience and/or background in Project Management
Experience and/or Background in Mass Transfer Equipment
Knowledge of construction and/or maintenance in refinery/chemical plants
Knowledge of plant turnaround planning/execution
Experience in pressure vessel/welding

Physical Demands/Unusual Work Conditions:
Able to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs
TWIC card will be required after hire
