Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers’ needs. We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk out of our Tonawanda, NY office. In addition to conducting Accounts Payable duties as described below, this person will be the face of Midland and answer all incoming phone calls and directing them as necessary.

Primary Duties:
Reviews and posts all invoices according to Midland policies and procedures
Prepares and processes all invoices for payment for each construction project
Maintains and updates AP regularly to ensure accurate information for reporting
Processes miscellaneous check requests
Processes accounts payable from invoice to payment including coding invoices to appropriate job number, cost code, GL account, and distributing invoices for approval
Assists with draw requests and maintains payment draw files and invoice files
Reconciles vendor statements with customer payments
Assists in filing, faxing, copying, mailings and other administrative duties

Experience and Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Knowledgeable of general accounting principles/procedures
Proficient in computer and communication skills
Possess excellent time management skills
Must be detailed and team oriented
