You will Understand and use knowledge business processes and provides leadership for planning, developing and implementing business projects within Cisco's Public Sector Partner Organization and groups with inter-dependencies. Evaluates and leads new initiatives and business opportunities (e.g., partner analysis, partner coverage, and effect of special projects on outcome of overall business management within the team, etc.). Drives the analysis and project management of potential opportunities, assessing markets and developing options for use in new market initiatives. You will contribute to help shape vision, strategies and/or tactics while providing leadership in the definition and implementation of specified projects and financial solutions/programs.

Who You'll Work With
The role reports into the Director, Public Sector Partner Org. S/he will work cross functionally with other area groups in APO, GPO, and Cisco Field Sales Organizations.

Who You Are
Initiates and leads business development/strategy discussions and generates plans for implementation.

Participates with peers in aligned organization as well as senior management to establish strategic plans, tactical implementation, and team objectives; makes decisions on operational matters and ensures the operations’ effective achievement of annual objectives.

Typically takes the lead in developing complex policies which not only affect immediate operations, but other functional areas, and potentially affect process within the team.Serves as a consultative business partner to client groups on complex business issues, integrating technical expertise/experience, client’s business objectives and marketplace factors.

Excels in effective communications, social media, change management and addressing controversial situations.
Drives partner/customer/negotiations, influences key decision makers through effective communications to drive key initiatives.
Provides strategic leadership within the Public Sector US Partner Organization and aligning groups along with tactical execution.
Applies knowledge of Cisco’s business strategies to be dedicated and anticipate business needs based on industry trends.
