Full Job Description
The Business Development Representative will be an expert in creating organic business growth, with a proven track record, and enjoy innovating new strategies. This position will perform all business development activities within the full lifecycle of the top of the funnel and is responsible for identifying and qualifying leads, capturing and winning new business bids, and engaging in initial conversations with prospects to help achieve the annual revenue goals of the Sales Team.
Implement creative and aggressive sales strategies, consultative sales process as established by the organization.
Ability to follow and execute methodical and efficient sales penetration and follow up strategies and have a clear understanding of market needs and services.
Identify trends, opportunities, and business insight.
Achieve/Exceed Local Account Sales Quota as set by Management.
Aggressively implement formalized plans to gain and expand sales to local market commercial prospects, positioning the organization as a “value creating” supplier and business partner.
Responsible for driving significant business/sales by prospecting and lead/contact cultivation for assigned market segments. Systematic solicitation of targeted commercial prospects through face-to-face contact within territory/market (B2B cold calling) and through a consultative sales process.
Manage all aspects of the sales process. Assist in negotiation, contract language, and pricing when required.
Fully present organizations service offerings to new clients including phone, webinar and in-person meetings and presentations within assigned territory.
Keep Management informed by submitting inputting into CRM system activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses. Comply with the on-going tracking of activities and initiatives through our Client Relationship Management System.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Manage initial implementation of business won and effectively transition the business to Operations team once the client is successfully “rolled out”. May be assigned post-transition account management responsibilities when necessary.
Travel to prospective customer locations.
Act as a Key Account manager when applicable as well as fostering relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the region.
Represent Company in the field in a manner consistent with company business principles and ethics.
Comply with all company policies, instructions, and directives for the fulfillment of company objectives.
Other duties as assigned by Management
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of sales experience in facilities services/janitorial or other related services.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Industry experience in janitorial and commercial facility preferred.
Experience in service processes and procedures and bidding, estimating and pricing etc.
Experience in commercial business services and the needs of individual market segments.
Salesforce experience preferred (CLM in Salesforce).
