Bachelor's or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience in communications, including both technical communications and executive communications.
Experience writing for and working directly with CEOs, SVPs or other senior executives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; video, graphics or other multimedia expertise a plus
Crafts compelling technology and innovation stories as the content lead (speechwriter, spokesperson, blogger, etc) for a technology company or an executive who is responsible for technology decision making at an enterprise company
Demonstrates the ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments
Effective team player who can meet project deadlines with exceptional attention to detail in a matrix organizational structure
About the job
As a member of the Executive and Internal Communications team, you will be part of a team which produces employee communications and events for Google executives. You will work with members of your internal client team on communications initiatives, projects and programs. You will support the work of the team to create strategic communications campaigns, come up with innovative ways to engage employees that are in tune with Google's culture, write communications, business update presentations and talking points. You will also collaborate with internal partners as needed across functions (PR, Policy, Legal, HR, Operations, etc.) and geographies.
As a member of the Internal & Executive Communications team, you will be part of a team which produces communications with and for Google Cloud executives. You’ll devise creative, fun and non-standard solutions to help leaders communicate the company’s strategy to their teams, the wider Google audience and industry partners. You'll understand complex issues, break them down, and coach executives to then communicate those issues in written and spoken forms. We are looking for a curiosity-driven, organized team player to help execute strategic communications campaigns, write compelling messages for leadership, create thoughtful presentations for internal meetings, and find innovative ways to engage employees and build a shared culture. To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to crisply summarize technical and business concepts in writing and in person. You love learning about the technology behind the products that billions of people use. You excel in highly collaborative roles, working with teammates, leadership, and internal partners to keep audiences large and small engaged, inspired and informed.

Develop, write and edit communications for senior executives, including emails, op/eds, social media posts and internal and external presentations.
Develop creative strategies for communicating to employees and industry partners, taking advantage of an executive’s unique voice and the needs of different audiences.
Plan the frequency and channels of communication and coordinate stakeholders across different areas of the business and the company.
Project manage internal communications strategic plans, taking ownership of tactics and outcomes from beginning to end of the project.
Interact with and influence executives, and provide advice that reflects an understanding of their business and leadership style.
