Our location in West Chester, OH is currently seeking excellent candidates for:

Cost Accountant
Determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods. Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports and costing audits. Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures cost data is allocated correctly.

Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
Maintaining Cost Accounting System by establishing standard costs and updating them as appropriate.
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Review Production and Price Variances and work with Production personnel to understand differences and make adjustments as necessary.
Provide guidance and assistance to plant locations to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
Assist Corporate team with monthly closing process including creation and posting of basic Journal Entries, valuing inventory at the lower of Cost or Fair Market Value, reconciling general ledger accounts, etc.
Manage and reconcile all Divisional intercompany accounts.
Assist in estimates of new and proposed parts for Sales quotations. Assist in the preparation of information and materials for our annual financial audit.
Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to satisfy company deadlines, specifically during the financial closing process.
Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related area.
MBA, CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of cost accounting, general accounting and business experience.
Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations and classifications surrounding the accounting function.
Ability to apply knowledge of GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards
Ability to consider the cost and benefits of potential actions and choose the most appropriate one.
Ability to travel to remote sites as needed.
Strong computer proficiency, specifically in Microsoft Products
Working knowledge of BAAN software, a plus; otherwise strong MRP systems knowledge
Problem analysis and problem resolution at a functional and strategic level.
