Writer's Assistant

A high degree of confidentiality and discretion are expected in regards to all matters and documents.
Primary role is to provide support for the writing staff by taking notes in the writers room as well as organizing pitches and scripts.
Must possess significant familiarity with current events, government officials/departments, and global affairs to aid in fact-checking
Candidate must be able to work independently and keep up with departmental deadlines
Assist Head writer with schedules, phones, travel.
Conduct online research relevant to material being written for the show.
Identify and flag potential script issues for music clearance and the legal department.
Keeping up with changes as scripts are rewritten throughout the week.
Supervise writer’s intern
Other responsibilities as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year working as a writer’s assistant on a TV show.
Minimum 1 year experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Final Draft

Eligibility Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher.
Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with hours.
Must be willing to work at 30 Rockefeller Center.
Must have work authorization to work in the United States.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must have ability to work flexible hours due to the production schedule of the show, including weekends and evenings when necessary.
