Company is currently searching for a CATIA Operator at our manufacturing facility in Dalton, GA. This position is responsible for all 2D and 3D digital design for various types of mats in multiple markets. Candidate will be responsible for updating daily production CAD files, management of internal and customer drawings, tooling design and working with Program Management on new and existing programs.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experiences:
· Extensive knowledge and experience with AutoCAD, Fusion 360 and Solidworks, previous CATIA experience required.
· The candidate must have the ability to convert a 3D model into 2D and then back again.
· Have the foresight to take a customer’s concept and convert it into a finished part, taking into consideration tolerances and functionality.
· Must be able to work with outside designers to understand requirements and changes to existing drawings.
· Able to design tooling such as jigs, check templates and specialized equipment as needed.
· Highly organized to maintain customer and internal engineering drawings.
· Able to assist in Trial Production Runs (TPR) and final product verification.
· Must have working knowledge of drafting fundamentals including orthographic views, standard dimensioning practices, scaling plus English and metric units of measure.
Additional skills include:
· Desire to work within a multifaceted team including Ownership and Program Managers to create and develop product design concepts.
· Must possess a high level of professional integrity and excellent communication skills.
· Strong multi-tasking ability and detail orientated, high degree of organization and planning.
· Ability to learn new tasks, take on undefined tasks, and ambitious desire to grow personally and professionally.
· Two-year degree in in Digital Design or related field required, four year bachelor’s degree preferred.
Work Environment
- Standard hours are Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, subject to fluctuate based on production schedules
- Position will require working in an office environment, warehouse, and manufacturing facility
