Perform root cause analysis of quality issues, often using advanced problem solving tools. Recommend and implement simple cost-effective permanent corrective actions. Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure correlation. Manage engineering changes, working with cross-functional team to ensure timely execution. Conduct product evaluation requests to ensure robustness of product or process change before full implementation. Work with Engineering and Suppliers to resolve issues that are not plant controllable. Recommend and validate rework procedures. Develop inspection procedures and best methods for performing inspection. Develop projects to support World Class Manufacturing.

Specific Duties: Powertrain Control Plan Integrator responsible to analyze and extract information in multiple systems for implementation into a new common control plan format. This will allow for regional and potentially global information access and standardization.

A qualified candidate will work with a cross functional team to maintain consistency between plants and track approvals on suggested and implemented changes to the control plan inputs and data.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering
1 year Powertrain and / or Manufacturing exp
Working knowledge of GD&T, general engine components and part print reading
Good math skills
Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from shop floor to management
Must be self-motivated
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Moderate to Excellent MS Office skills - Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel
Familiarity with metal machining principles and processes for engine block, cylinder head and crankshaft
May be required to drive a company vehicle – valid drivers license & clean driving record required
May be required to travel – domestic & international (0-20%)
Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles
Strong knowledge of Excel and Macros
Machining and tooling experience is a plus
