Position Overview
The successful candidate will be action-oriented, have strong business acumen, experience in dynamic environments, the ability to work through ambiguity and an understanding of OmniActive’s mission and values. Experience in Science and Regulatory Affairs in Dietary Supplements, OTC and/or Pharmaceuticals is preferred.
Job Purpose & Scope
- Guide and support product formulation and claims compliance as per available clinical evidence and in alignment with local regulatory requirements with a focus on North America
- Review and approve product labels and advertising copy/collaterals
- Interface with Trade Associates and Academic institutions to support advocacy and horizon scanning efforts
Key Accountabilities
Science and Regulatory Compliance (85%):
- Ensure published information and promotional/advertising material including claims meet country-specific regulatory requirements
- Manage product market fit maps as per local regulatory requirements
- Support publication strategy (preclinical, clinical and safety data) to support regulatory submissions
- Review label information as per local regulatory requirements
- Manage and support regulatory registrations, submissions and notifications with a focus on North America
Advocacy (15%):
- Interface with Trade Associations and Academic Institutions to support advocacy and horizon scanning efforts focused on science, public policy and regulations
Skills & Competencies
- Familiarity with Regulations
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Education
- Masters of Science in Biochemistry, Nutritional Sciences or related discipline
Experience
- 5-8 years experience in Science and Regulatory Affairs in Dietary Supplements, OTC and/or Pharmaceuticals
