Serves as Director, Sport Science. Oversees the daily monitoring of Athlete Management System (Smartabase) and develops/builds product to meet athlete and sport needs. Stay current on industry trends/standards to ensure recommendations for products (technology) are top of the line. Supervises various leadership team members, students and interns and collaborates with Strength and Conditioning departments to ensure student athlete’s performance needs are being met and exceeded. Will conduct end of season analysis, SpartaTrac testing, Excel Live Creation and tech training for Strength and Conditioning. Manages Omegawave results, Omegawave linking and organization. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent combination of education/experience. Experience in developing and building up an Athlete Management System (Smartabase); knowledge of wearable technologies and industry current trends/best practices; ability to work with a diverse population and provide supportive and motivating environment for student athletes and sport performance personnel.
