Full Job Description

Tabor Mortgage Group is a high-volume mortgage company in Charleston, SC seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor. As we grow, we are pursuing excellence in all parts of our business. Job Duties and Requirements

Knowledge of the South Carolina Federal regulations.
Strong working knowledge of Conventional, FHA and VA processing.
Manage an average pipeline of 20-30 working files.
Perform welcome calls with borrowers within department timeframes.
Work directly with borrowers, loan officers, underwriting and vendors to satisfy and clear loan conditions.
Update loan comments when appropriate and ensure all parties who come in contact with the loan are able to understand the status of the loan file.
Review incoming documentation, determine next steps and communicate with loan officers and borrowers.
Escalate to manager or underwriter any conditions employee is unable to satisfy.
Deliver clean, complete and accurate files to both underwriting and closing department.
Maintain a high level of customer service, communication and professionalism with both internal and external parties to always promote the image and philosophy of company.
Maintain a knowledge of lending guidelines, investor programs, industry requirements and changes in order to promote the professionalism and knowledge required for this position.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in the retail mortgage industry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to meet deadline and accomplish goals.
Must be analytical and task focused.
Demonstrated computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and email.
Experience with Encompass is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level of professional integrity.
High level of customer service skills.
Maintain a positive, helpful, constructive attitude and work relationship with co-workers and Supervisor
Strong time management and organizational skills in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.
Attention to detail and quality focused.
