POSITION SUMMARY:
The BPM COE Lead is the leader of a newly established Business Process Management Center of Excellence (BPM COE) and will be our thought-leader in growing the Process Excellence capability and at Anixter. The BPM COE Lead is responsible for providing guidance/coaching to company leadership regarding Business Process Management, including cross-process integration principles. The BPM COE Lead is tasked with developing a process mindset within Anixter and developing the internal team to support the development of the Process Excellence capability, while simultaneously supporting a multi-year Business Process Transformation effort. After the multi-year Business Process Transformation is complete, the BPM COE Lead will be responsible for driving on-going continuous improvement across our global business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major Action and Support Actions

Collaborate with the Business Transformation Lead to drive transition from a functional to a process-based organization and ensure recognition of desired business value.

Collaborate with Global Process Owners (GPOs) and Process Architects to educate and align on cross-process integration principles and challenges.

Collaborate with Process Architects and the Change Management Organization (CMO) Lead in designing and delivering process-based training and capability development modules.

Develop an enterprise-wide BPM maturity roadmap and drives BPM maturity globally.

Define and manage all BPM related methods, tools, and techniques.

Manage BPM COE resources and deliver on BPM-related initiatives across the enterprise.

Mentor Process Architects, Process Specialists, and other individuals throughout the organization.

Serve as a leading advocate for embedding BPM thinking, practices, and actions enterprise-wide to improve overall, end-to-end customer experience.

Operate as a steward of our business to maintain process excellence focus and drive continuous improvement.

Serve as an expert on Anixter’s Process Classification Framework.

Operate as a Process Architect when necessary.

Provide process lens in process integration MA related initiatives or operation model changes.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


Preferred Degree: Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in business administration and/or engineering



Certificate(s): Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt preferred but not required



Experience: Ten to twenty (10-20) years related experience across multiple consulting and corporate environments. Experience building/growing a BPM/Process Excellence capability at a prior organization.



Multiple years of experience across the full business process lifecycle (Finance, Procurement, Order Management, Manufacturing and Planning, etc.)



Involvement in at least one large scale ERP (Oracle, SAP, etc.) implementation



Distribution industry experience preferred but not required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:
Knowledgeable in:
Business process management

Continuous improvement methods, tools, and techniques (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma)

Industry-leading BPM (or BPM related) methodologies/frameworks

Anixter’s organization/business units/product lines, etc.

Process Classification Frameworks (PCF)

Leading teams, mentoring and coaching team members

Capability building for a Fortune 300 company

Skills include:
End-to-end business process management development

Strong leadership, diplomacy, and negotiation skills

Strong communication abilities, written and spoken

Workshop design and facilitation

Process mapping, analysis, and improvement activities

Expertise in Change Management and Program/Project Management

Strong business acumen

Capabilities include:
Adapting strategy and approach based on changing business conditions

Resolving conflicts and/or neutralizing organizational resistance to change

Collaborating and partnering with all levels across the Anixter organization

Sharing a vision and coalition building to drive change
