In this role the System Engineer will be expected to:
Provide system engineering principles and support to the client for a commercial-off-the-shelf application deployed throughout the enterprise
Test, develop and update user documentation and other system-related artifacts
Interact on a regular basis with the client, COTS vendor, and team members
Provide status weekly and monthly for work performed per contract
Work with external teams to support the integration of the selected applications
Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions
Define the methods, processes, and evaluation criteria by which the systems, subsystems and work products are verified against their requirements in a written plan
Develop system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis
Participate in establishing and gaining approval of the definition of a system or component under development (requirements, designs, interfaces, test procedures, etc.) that provides a common reference point for hardware and software developers

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
B.S. degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of progressive, relevant experience, or and MS degree in a computer or system science discipline and seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a computer or system science discipline and two (2) to five (5) years or progressive experience.
Seven (7) years of experience as a System Engineer is required. A Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a degree.
IAT Level II (Security+)
Active TS/SCI with a polygraph

Desired Qualifications:
Understanding of PKI, PKE Applications.
Experience integrating enterprise GOTS/COTS products.
Understanding of system security and cyber security, and system architecture.

Essential Functions:Physical Requirements:
Working at a computer or desk (Considerations: Sitting, Eyes, Hands)
May involve long periods of sitting

Work Environment:
An inside office environment (Considerations: Closed quarters, lighting, and temperature fluctuations)
Needs to be able to work well with and support co-workers and clients
Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills

Equipment and Machines:
Standard office equipment and machines, computer workstation

Attendance:
Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines
Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur
