Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources and Manager of Benefits Administration, the Wellness Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of all employee wellness initiatives. Responsible for efforts in increasing employee awareness, education and behavior change capability towards living a healthy lifestyle and lowering insurance costs. The Coordinator works collaboratively with the Health Fitness and Recreation Center and Health Sciences in developing and coordinating wellness initiatives.
BA or BS in Health Promotions, Wellness Promotion, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition, Fitness, or related field required. Master’s Degree and in related field preferred. Certified Health Educational Specialist (CHES) preferred. Three years’ experience in wellness promotion, wellness program development, evaluation and outcome reporting required.
In-depth understanding of wellness programming integration in organizations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with all level of employees
