We are currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to help develop and improve manufacturing processes and product designs in a fast-paced production and R&D environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are designed for ease of manufacturability, creating documentation and metrics, developing prototype manufacturing processes, and transitioning those processes through all product design phases.

You will demonstrate success by:
Initiating and reviewing manufacturing work flow and processes/procedures such as:
Work/assembly instructions
Rework and modification instructions
Special process instructions
Standard repair instructions
Providing key technical input on all hardware designs for manufacturing ease and cost considerations
Producing, maintaining, and presenting performance metrics.
Reviewing and approving technical drawings for the Manufacturing Department
Communicating information between the design and manufacturing teams and ensuring that design feedback from manufacturing is relayed to engineering.
Leading and supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives in the organization such as 5S, Tool Control, etc.
Providing manufacturing input for future proposals.

US citizenship is required. You must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance to the Top Secret level with SSBI. Possession of a current Top Secret clearance is highly desirable.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, aerospace manufacturing, or other relevant fields.
Experience and knowledge of manufacturing methods, specifically in composites, metals, and/or electronics.
Experience with technical writing, specifically work instructions and process documentation.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred experience/certification in lean practices; 5S, Six Sigma, etc.
Physical requirements include the ability to travel up to 5% and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
