Assists in the development and is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Diversity & Inclusion programs and initiatives.. Ensures alignment with the Diversity & Inclusion strategic framework to enhance diversity and workplace inclusion capabilities across the enterprise. Responsible for leading the day to day development and implementation of D&I education and training programs and consultation with key stakeholders on diversity and inclusion. Provides D&I recommedations and solutions aligned with business objectives and enterprise-wide diversity and inclusion goals.
Builds collaborative partnership with HR Centers of Excellence and business leaders across the enterprise to support the achievement of D&I goals and objectives.
Acts as a subject matter expert to internal and external partners on diversity and inclusion best practices and programs.
Conducts needs assessment, leads development and implementation of D&I education and training initiatives that will further enhance the organization’s D&I capabilitities.
Ensures existing D&I tools and resources are current and identifies and implements new ones to drive enterprise-wide D&I objectives.
May facilitate D&I training across all levels in the organization.
Monitors enterprise diversity metrics to assess progress against D&I goals and objectives. Responsible for ensuring diversity goals are on track and finds solutions to roadblocks/derailers as needed.
Leads participation in external surveys and benchmarking for approaches to advance D&I within the enterprise.
Contributes to the design and development of Diversity & Inclusion enterprise-wide reward and recognition programs. Oversees the implementation of the programs and monitors success.
Provides guidance and supports Talent Acquisition in efforts to enhance Walgreen’s employment brand as a great place for diverse talent to build their careers.
Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience in Diversity & Inclusion OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 7 years of experience in Diversity & Inclusion.
Experience presenting to senior level management.
Experience in the creation, deployment, analysis and reporting on diversity and inclusion initiatives and creating action plans for departments targeted at enhancing ongoing initiatives.
Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget.
Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community, government regulators, and/or with vendors.
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
At least 2 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expenses and capital budgets
At least 2 years of direct leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
Willing to travel up to/at least (choose one) 15% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
