Job Summary:
We are excited to share that DEWETRON, a leader in data acquisition and power analysis, is expanding to the Southwest with a new office, and we are looking for talented individuals to help build and grow our presence in this region. We’re currently seeking a dedicated, results-driven Field Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be based in Texas and will primarily manage and support customers and accounts within this region. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new projects in neighboring areas . This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative company where you will be key in driving sales revenues and nurturing existing customer relationships.
The ideal candidate would have experience selling data acquisition solutions in aerospace, defense, automotive, and test stand integrator accounts. In this role, we seek outstanding organizational and sales skills. We expect you to be an excellent communicator who understands customer needs. This position will require extensive travel to support the territory and region. High priority will be given to candidates with experience in power analysis in renewable energy, electric motors and/or multiple phase inverters. This opportunity is for a goal-driven sales hunter with a demonstrated history of building business into new markets and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Find and acquire new customers within Texas and support the growth of these accounts.
- Identify and pursue business opportunities in Texas as well as beyond the primary region as needed.
- Present, promote and sell products/services.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships within the assigned account base.
- Effective, rapid follow-up to inbound leads from new prospects.
- Research accounts, identify key contact(s), and generate interest.
- Prospect for new customers by using social media and attending key conferences/trade shows.
- Collaborate with other field and inside sales engineers to prospect for power analyzer business.
- Coordinate activities with field sales, marketing, and other departments to achieve territory targets.
- Closely collaborate with customers to determine their needs and recommend the right solution.
- Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes.
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential track sales, and status reports.
- Generate reports on customer needs, problems, and ideas for new products or services.
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
- Continuously improve through feedback.
- Qualify new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound contacts to account base.
- Create and execute a business development plan for growing the power analyzer business, collaborating with sales and product management.
- Master the DEWETRON hardware and OXYGEN software to be able to provide effect product demos.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of competitor solutions.
- Maintain and expand your database of prospects.
Requirements:
- Strong technical aptitude in power analysis working with electric motors and multi-phase inverters is preferred.
- Proven track record of cultivating new business into new markets, increasing sales and revenue.
- Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs.
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Organizational and leadership ability.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- ME or EE degree or other technical degree in an engineering or physical science discipline or equivalent.
- 3 – 5 years with strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales quota.
