As a Sr. Business Development Representative on the Corporate Client Banking (CCB) team, you will focus primarily on generating new business from prospective clients and cross sells from existing clients with a focus in the Technology and Entertainment sector of $500 Million to $10 Billion in revenue. You will work closely with an established team of Bankers and Treasury Sales teams to ensure proper alignment of strategies for all payment solutions.
The Business Development Representative Sr. will report to the CCB Sales Team Leader and they will be integral to the achievement of aggressive new client growth goals for the Merchant Services team.
Cultivates new business opportunities within the portfolio by aligning with the Banker and Treasury team to achieve individual sales goals. This role will be co-located with our CCB Treasury partners to collaborate in portfolio and account planning strategies to offer Merchant Services solutions to existing and prospective clients.
Serves as a trusted advisor and client advocate, leveraging core knowledge, to recommend and promote banking and payment processing solutions to clients to ensure a seamless client experience across JP Morgan
Create strategic dialogues around key client-centric issues, incorporating best practices, benchmarking, opportunity quantification and solution positioning
Build template-driven business case quantification for clients in support of payment solutions
Completes analysis to competitively identify and price JP Morgan products and services for profitability.
Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with key decision-makers at a variety of levels (C-level executives) to evaluate needs, propose solutions from our suite of merchant services products (a writing sample may be required as a part of the candidate selection process).
Partner with internal product stakeholders when representing the client perspective in the development/evolution of complex products and solutions- works with internal partners to ensure successful implementation and product ramp-up
Protects the firm by following sound risk management protocols and adhering to regulatory requirements. Works directly with Credit, Risk, and Quality Control to adhere to Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer regulations.
Possesses a minimum of 8+ years of related sales and relationship management experience
Proven success and knowledge of the Technology specific vertical
Exposure to clients of similarly scale and scope of $500 Million to $10 Billion in revenue
Strong knowledge of the merchant services industry, products and services
Excellent communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally (a writing sample may be required as a part of the candidate selection process.)
Proven ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners and influence others to achieve desired outcomes
Apply consultative influencing and selling to develop and execute strategies to deliver appropriate solutions.
Drive complex contract renegotiations.
Make recommendations on new products and services dependent on client input and general industry observations.
Uses sound judgment to offer comprehensive and customized solutions that best meet client needs; able to identify and recommend appropriate alternatives when traditional solutions do not apply.
Ability to balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of the firm
