Job Description
JOB PURPOSE-
The utility job position’s primary responsibility is to maintain a clean, sanitary prep kitchen and outside dine-in area. This role performs series of kitchen functions including pot, pan & utensil washing, general maintenance, simple food prep, storing food and non-food supplies.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Wash, distribute and stock clean pots, pans and utensils.-
Clean and sanitize equipment, work surfaces and prep kitchen/dish room in accordance to cleaning schedules and procedures.

Empty and clean trash cans in prep kitchen, on line and outside dining area.

Assists in overall ongoing maintenance of facility following all checklists.

Supports cooks in other duties as required; especially simple prep.

Follow sanitation/safety regulations.

Clears and sanitizes picnic tables, benches and stand-up rails following guest’s meals.

Cleanliness and organization of hi-chairs.

Restocking and ongoing cleaning of outside condiment dispensers.

Keeps stainless bus cabinet clean, stocked and organized.

Restocking of napkin dispensers.
-
Takes care of needs of guests at all times.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES-
Job Requirements-
Physical ability to carry trays and tubs filled with various smallwares not exceeding 50 pounds.-
Physical ability to balance heavy items.
-
Constant standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling and pushing.

Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required.

High energy, great hospitality and ability to create a welcoming environment required.

Ability to work as valued team member.
-
Able to work in conditions involving noise, heat, temperature changes, kitchen elements, odors, moisture, etc.

The ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure.

The ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively.

Verbal communication skills required.

Assist in managing dining room cleanliness, efficient food delivery, and other duties as assigned by management.
