Opportunity Overview
SD Solutions is seeking a capable and experienced Sr. Business Analyst to provide support at IRS (Internal Revenue Service). This individual will be supporting the design, development and build of test data sets, test plans, executing UAT and defect tracking and reporting as well as leading a multidisciplinary team integrating with other contractors and Government employees to strengthen key roles, that the IRS undertakes to fulfill its mission.
Qualifications
- 5 years testing experience ensuring the quality and functionality of web-based applications.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often required. Some employers may prefer candidates with a master's degree or relevant certifications.
- Proficiency in software testing methodologies and tools. Knowledge of web services testing tools.
- Understanding of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and RESTful services.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with databases and SQL queries.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams to understand project requirements and translate them into test cases and scenarios, and to ensure that web services meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web services testing based on project requirements and design documents.
- Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools to validate the functionality, performance, and security of web services.
- Document and track defects found during testing, prioritize them based on severity, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct regression, stress, and UAT testing on new features or changes to existing functionality of the web services to identify performance bottlenecks and scalability.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the overall quality of web services.
