This position is located within the Greenville County Guardian ad Litem Office of the Department of Administration. Under general supervision, incumbent provides programmatic support that includes, but is not limited to, performing and managing daily office functions, clerical duties, and computer database entry for the Circuit and County office for staff and to volunteers assigned to advocate for children in family court. Assists in volunteer retention and recruitment through professional written and verbal contact with current and prospective volunteers in a courteous and efficient manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of administrative experience; OR an approved equivalence by the Division of State Human Resources.
Additional Requirements: Must be computer literate in applications to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with data entry, strong organizational and time management skills are required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. May require overnight travel. May require reporting to work in the evening and/or weekends. Routine driver duties is required. Must have a valid South Carolina class "D" driver's license. Requires regular attendance at statewide staff and regional meetings. Requires statewide travel. Must be able to stoop and/or bend frequently. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. May require reporting to work during emergency situations.
