Community Partnership for Child Development provides more than 1,800 children living in poverty or challenged by special circumstances with an early childhood education through Head Start, Early Head Start and the Colorado Preschool Program. But we aren’t just a free preschool. Our additional health, dental and family support services ensure that children enrolled in our programs are ready to succeed in school and life!
This Human Resources Generalist plans and directs the implementation and administration of all CPCD wellness benefits programs including health and welfare plans, paid- and unpaid-time off plans, and retirement/profit sharing programs, etc. This person provides orientation to new employees and soft skill training to current employees. Secondary Purpose: Supports employment functions in the absence of the incumbent. Provides back up coverage for Receptionist/HR Assistant. Cross trained in other functions of Human Resources.
Baccalaureate degree in business, human resources, education, communications or a closely related field. Successful and relevant work experience in human resources combined with professional certifications and/or training requiring rigorous effort in the discipline of human resources may be accepted in lieu of a degree (two years of experience substitute for one year of education); or eight or more years of successful and relevant work experience in human resources may be accepted in lieu of a degree
At least two years of work experience in human resources including the responsibility for the administration of benefits and compensation functions
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Knowledge, skill, and ability to operate general office equipment, telephone, audio/visual equipment, computer, and computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, HRIS databases, presentation programs, etc.
Must successfully complete a physical examination, drug screen and TB test
Must have access to reliable transportation to perform minimum vehicle liability insurance of $100/$300 if private vehicle is used
Current PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification
