ColonialWebb is seeking hardworking and talented Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our large construction team. In this role, Mechanics will fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products associated with commercial HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems. Typical construction projects include hospitals, data centers, high-rises, universities, secondary schools, and government facilities.

What you will do:
Layout, fabricate, assemble, install, sheet metal products and equipment, such as ductwork, plenums, fire dampers, diffusers, air handling units, VAV boxes, fan power boxes, and other related equipment
Locate and mark dimensions per plans, specifications and shop drawings.
Use hand tools and portable power tools in the installation of joints of duct such as slide and drive, TDF, snap lock, and other assemblies as required.
Load and unload construction materials from trucks and into buildings.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Works safely, encourage others to do so and complies with applicable health and safety-related rules, regulations, and procedures.
Perform other duties as directed by job site supervisor.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic working on commercial construction projects.
Experience with layouts and ability to install commercial sheet metal systems.
Ability to work from drawings, submittals, and specifications.
Knowledge of basic construction/shop math (addition, subtraction, division, fraction, and multiplication).
Ability to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
Work efficiently and skillfully with hands.
Knowledge of International Mechanical Code (IMC) and Sheet Metal and Air Contractors National Association (SMACNA) standards.
Safety-minded and knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
Skillful listener, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
High energy level to handle evolving and fast-paced workload.
Positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
