Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Technical Systems Analyst. The candidate shall provide analytical, technical and database experience and support to design a robust, comprehensive information and data management system to improve the efficiency for sharing, storing, and analyzing information related data throughout the Office of Inspector General's Office of Management and Administration. The contractor shall leverage new technologies to support the IT transformation development and implementation project and provide the content, format, and level of detail required for each deliverable/requirement of the information system.
Translate stakeholder requirements from formal requirements document into system design.
Create workflows for staff in different regions to input requests to MA into the database, create workflows for other processes.
Contribute to an IT roadmap that is forward thinking and sets the groundwork for reducing maintenance cost while meeting or exceeding business objectives.
Communicate with staff to ensure best practices and workflow processes and designs are followed.
Create a secure way for OIG to document, share, edit, and compile multiple responses.
Evaluate and recommend available database management system products after matching requirements with system capabilities.
Determine file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for the specific IT system.
Control access to the database, enacts safeguards against accidental or intentional damage or loss), and monitors system use.
Construct conceptual, logical, and physical data models and develop and maintain business logic within stored procedures and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) transformations.
Assist with design and development of operational and reporting database systems utilizing the latest techniques in data modeling and ETL concepts with the assistance of the program area.
Assist with development of database solutions, quality assurance, and timely delivery of the information system.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and correct data or user related system errors.
Adhere to, and advocate for, compliance with DOE IT policies and procedures, federal laws, regulations and standards.
Maintain documentation related to design, development, testing, and implementation of customization and/or configuration, programming code, and scripts.
Develop and deploy a centralized repository to receive, analyze, and process new change and upgrade requests.
Create and maintain secure sites to store, organize, share, and access records, documents, files, and information from any approved device.
Coordinate with stakeholders to manage, track, and report the status of processing IT system related tickets.
Develop custom workflows and data exports to provide maximum automation and availability of data for reporting and metrics as needed.
Track problem resolutions with documentation such as a file or document history.
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and pass a background investigation and drug screening.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
3+ years of ETL experience.
Ability to implement solutions that meet technical best practices and business requirements
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with ability to interact with individuals all levels.
Ability to understand and address complex problems and systems.
Experience with data analysis, reporting and visualization.
