The Commons, located in Minneapolis, is the headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, the site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of Allina Health, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing business unit learning program(s) to achieve financial, schedule, technical, organizational and business unit objectives.
This role is a key partner to our site and Allina leaders.
Sites have business problems, strategic initiatives, regulatory requirements and skill-building for their employees to best serve the patients, their colleagues and themselves – this role helps harness and gather training solutions that our customers can be provided with.
This role will have the T&OD visibility to what exists, how to access and how to request learning solutions for the business unit- where the needs that have T&OD solutions are mitigated.
BU Learning Program Management

Point of contact for training and educational programs to fulfill agreed-upon education goals.
Connects with key stakeholders at the business unit(s) to assess, advise, consult and assist with their learning needs.
Develops strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, leaders, councils, committees (practice, education, risk/safety, etc.) as it relates to learning and educational needs.
Develops training plans, calendars, timelines and communications in collaboration with business partners and key stakeholders.
Aligns training plans, programs and solutions to professional practice standards, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Problem-solver and leverages best practices, system-wide solutions and services from across T&OD to best serve our customers and partners.
Develops Learning Programs

Participates in setting annual strategic training plan & objectives, inclusive of but, not limited to key programs, bundles, mandatory education, etc.
Continuously assesses, prioritizes and revises training plans as needed based on metrics, measurements and trends.
Proactively seeks out and collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SME) within Allina to partner on meeting learning needs.
Service Level Management

Leverages business metrics to enhance training plans and programs to create a tighter connection between training and outcomes.
Works with requestor and instructional designer to identify what success of the training will look like and how Allina will know when success has occurred.
Incorporates identified success metrics into training plan to measure and provide visibility into the training impacts.
Leverages data and metrics in planning and conversations to measure outcomes and influence decision-making.
Facilitates the exchange of information, mediates and /or resolves issues between customer and T&OD.
Collaborates with internal T&OD team to ensure deliverables are met based upon predetermined timelines.
Identifies site-specific delivery nuances and develop plan to optimize resources.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required.
Master’s degree in education or related field preferred.
Registered nurse degree is preferred.

Qualification/Skills

3 – 5 years of experience in Leveraging relationships and business needs to create meaningful plans. Account Management, Relationship Management, and/or Training/Education.
Healthcare experience preferred

Work Schedule

Day time hours with some flexibility needed.
