Full Job Description
SCAD seeks an assistant director of marketing and public relations to develop and execute effective content marketing strategies and public relations initiatives for SCADpro, the university’s in-house innovation studio.
In this role, you will lead campaigns that involve local, regional, and national media content and press, in line with the university’s mission to drive awareness and help create future industry partnerships. The assistant director must be creative and flexible, with a comprehensive understanding of the university’s goals.
The ideal candidate has public relations or digital marketing experience in innovation, technology, digital media, or design and experience conducting media pitches that led to earned media placements. You should possess a strong understanding of modern public relations and content marketing, how media channels (earned, owned, and paid) intersect, and how they can be integrated to achieve content marketing and public relations objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, four-year university
- One to three years of digital marketing or digital public relations experience
- Search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) proficiency
