Essential Job Functions:
- Perform engineering duties required to analyze new and existing products in the areas of design, function, manufacturability, styling, and other factors to provide for design simplification, standardization, reliability, parts interchangeability, cost reduction, etc.
- Creation, alteration, and refinement of mechanical part / assembly drawings and Bill of Materials to capture design intent and document the key aspects necessary to adapt company products to specific customer requirements and product applications.
- Communicate with sales, other engineers, and floor shop leaders on the development of product modifications or creation of new company products.
- Assist in the testing and debugging of assigned products in the shop and coordinate ECR processing to revise designs as necessary.
- Maintain ongoing project requirements, schedules, and specifications for multiple projects in a deadline-based environment.
- Work with other departments to resolve DMR issues with orders and/or equipment in the shop and coordinate processing to revise designs as necessary.
- Create large-scale assembly and fabrication drawings using Auto CAD and SolidWorks, Inventor highly desired.
- Create machined, formed and fabricated component drawings.
- Create electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic schematics and systems.
- Create and maintain bills of materials.
- Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
- Confer with engineering personnel and prepare design modifications as required.
- Evaluate design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Always understand and comply with all PPE requirements, work safely every day, and encourage all team members to do the same.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks will be required with 3D modeling, Inventor preferred.
- Proven proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Technical Writing Skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and some material specification abilities.
- Creativity, initiative, detail-oriented, results-focused.
- Personal motivation for success.
- Proficient in problem analysis and resolution.
- Effective time management, juggling multiple projects at one time.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or equivalency certificate); degree or trade certification preferred.
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical) preferred.
- Two to four years related drafting experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment), Military background highly preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops and other mandatory safety equipment.
- For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sitting or standing as needed.
- Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
- Reaching, pushing, pulling or lifting as required within limits set by Entrans International LLC.
