The Automation Specialist is primary responsibility will be the operation of the cassette automation line. This individual will also be asked to perform manufacturing tasks including, but not limited to, manual assembly operations within a clean room as well as outside the clean room.
Ability to follow documented work instructions and accurately document relevant operational information created or acquired while performing their job duties.
Ability to use instruments and gauges to perform measurements. Ability to make informed decisions or actions based on analyzing data collected.
Ability to trouble shoot technical issues including, but not limited to, determining the root cause for the automation line not performing to specification.
Comfortable working around machinery and equipment.
Comfortable with and ability to use various mechanical and electrical tools to make machine modifications or adjustments.
Comfortable identifying improvement opportunities and supporting the implementation of those improvement opportunities.
Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Ability to maintain a safe work environment and work in accordance with safety procedures and policies. Ability to work safely.
PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
A high school diploma is required. Post-secondary education in a technical discipline is preferred.
A Lean certification is preferable
Minimum of 5 years of experience performing manufacturing assembly operations in an ISO or cGMP environment.
1+ year of Automation assembly experience highly preferred;
Set-up, Run, Basic Troubleshooting, Mechanical Adjustments, HMI Interface, Preventative Maintenance,
Monitor process and adjust and maintain process specifications
Ability to work cross-functionally
Excellent written and oral communication skills
High collaboration and influencing skills with a positive attitude
High level of urgency and adaptability
