We have an immediate career opportunity for a qualified Sales Business Development Manager. This individual will aggressively seek and initiate new business relationships. Solicit and maintain favorable contacts with potential key accounts. Identifies decision makers and works to understand strategic business challenges and priorities. Develops sales plans and proposal that support increased sales. Identifies business opportunities, assesses prospective customer needs, and matches these with Brock's services to acquire new business.

This important role will be responsible for prospecting and analyzing target groups and new business opportunities through market research and developing marketing initiatives. Identifies, pursues, and acquires profitable business relationships with new customers. Develops leads and possibly conduct face-to-face visits with proposal preparation. Leads negotiations to obtain new customers.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Develop channel of sales and business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and referrals
  • Create and develop your own sales strategies and techniques
  • Increase market share by developing new opportunities at target accounts through proactive sales activities within your local market
  • Continually expand business relationships through networking activities
  • Ensure customers' expectations are being met
  • Consistently strive to improve phone skills and product knowledge, conduct training as necessary

What are the requirements for this job?

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Previous experience in sales or marketing (transportation industry experience preferred)
  • Extensive customer service, sales, or telemarketing experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic industry knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and transportation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must
  • Ability to multi-task and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work from home, self-motivated and dependable
  • Strong computer skill
