The Recruiting Specialist II will report to the Director of Human Resources. The Recruiting Specialist II handles all phases of the recruitment life cycle and provides guidance and leadership to our hiring managers. They drive the recruiting process and facilitate the smooth functioning of the recruiting department, while ensuring that processes are implemented and followed, through the pre-employment and new hire on boarding process. This person must be an extremely confidential individual with experience in Microsoft Windows and Office software.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Exercising independent judgment regarding the technical and nontechnical competencies of prospective employees in order to make recommendations to management in the first stage of the selection process.
- Full life cycle recruiting for all positions including executive level for the organization.
- Working with internal and external customers to understand staffing needs and position requirements.

Sourcing candidates and verifying candidate information.

Making hiring recommendations to the Hiring Manager.

Schedule and conduct candidate interviews via phone, Zoom and face to face.

Writing and posting job descriptions.

Support various teams and work directly with leaders to understand their needs, drive pipeline, develop strategies to close candidates, implement processes, and provide consistent updates on hiring progress.

Guide and develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies.

Initiate and attend recruiting events such as job fairs and mass interviews which may occasionally involve out of state travel.

Analyze recruitment data to proactively problem solve.

Assist in the coordination and delivery of new hire orientation.

Other duties as assigned, which may include but are not limited to assisting with planning and coordination of employee events, and attending company sponsored events which could include overnight stays.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced sourcing skills and be capable of creatively seeking hard-to-find candidates.

Strong communication and computer skills with a desire to work in a highly collaborative team environment.

Demonstrated experience interviewing prospective candidates via in-person, teleconference, and phone.
- Knowledge of applicable employment laws and interviewing techniques.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Extremely organized with excellent time management skills.
- Maintain work pace appropriate to given workload.

Must be flexible and able to multi-task effectively.

Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
-
At least 4 years of exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience involving corporate level and entry level placements.

Experience exercising independent judgment regarding the competencies of a prospective employee.
- Bachelor's degree and/or PHR certification is preferred.
