TITLE: CONTRACTOR FIELD REPRESENTATIVE

OBJECTIVES:
Achieve sales and market share growth by pull-through efforts with contractors, builders and architects as well as service some of the day to day needs of existing distribution channels.

STRUCTURE:
The Contractor Field Representative is a member of the Sales team reporting to the District Sales Manager,and is responsible for engaging and growing IKOs contractor customer base. This is a 1-2 year introductory sales training position, geared towards prospective promotion opportunity & growth within the IKO sales organization.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Organize and execute a business plan to meet territory sales goals and customer needs
Grow sales by developing new and existing contractor/builder relationships
Develop IKO’s customer base through loyalty programs
Increase IKO specifications with product specifiers – architects, project managers, consultants, etc.
Utilize approved sales & marketing resources to engage customers and position the IKO brand
Share market and competitive information internally in an effective manner

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Become an expert in knowledge of all IKO products and programs
Engage contractors, builders and architects to drive demand for IKO products
Educate and present products & programs to contractors, builders, and architects
Perform hands on product demonstrations and product knowledge sessions
Maintain and order samples and literature for contractors and builders as needed
Work closely with outside sales reps from IKO distribution channels
Work closely with local TSR, DM or RSM to understand market pricing conditions
Adhere to internal requirements including timely submittal of weekly Intelligence Reports, meeting & functions attendance, and completion of company provided training as required
Adhere to Health and Safety as well as IKO Vehicle policies

QUALIFICATION PROFILE:
Personable: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
Self-starter & team player: Ability to work effectively on own as well as in a team environment
Prior sales experience is a plus
Bilingual is a plus
2 or 4 year college degree is strongly preferred
0-3 years of Sales experience
Driver’s license & good driving record
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
