As the Associate Events Manager for tradeshows and exhibitions, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of global events by managing logistics, the sample process, and cross-departmental coordination. This position will involve working closely with internal teams to ensure that events are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with the company's strategic goals.
What you will do:
- Manage the end-to-end execution of global events, ensuring seamless logistics, on-site coordination, and effective communication.
- Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive event plans, including logistics, budgeting, and timelines.
- Work closely with the marketing and creative services teams to develop engaging event collateral, promotional materials, and presentations.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including product development, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and maximum impact at events.
- Manage the samples process from selection to execution for all Global Events.
- Maintain strong inter-departmental communication to manage the sample process by each Global Event.
- Set and oversee deadlines and transit times to ensure on-time delivery of samples.
- Collaborate with Brand, Product Development, Procurement, and Mockup teams to ensure sample goals are met accordingly.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and analyses to measure the effectiveness of events and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide on-site Global Event support as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event management.
Manages People: No
- This position provides mentorship and guidance to others, leading planning calls and management of key event deadlines and milestones.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Manager, Business Administration, or relevant field required. A combination of experience
- 1-3 years of proven experience in event management, preferably within the toy industry or a related consumer products sector.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suite.
- Experience in event management with multiple events at the same time
- Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving
- Must have the ability to work well in a fast-paced and changing environment, as an effective multi-tasker.
- Effective managerial skills with the ability to train and inspire a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work cross-functionally, collaboratively, and reciprocally with multiple departments
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
