Job Title: Training & Development Specialist
Job Location: Rosemont, IL, preferred or any ENA US location.
Summary:
Reporting to Corporate Human Resources, this newly created role supports Extrusion North America (ENA) plants in the analysis, development, implementation and evaluation of onboarding, training and learning & development programs (e.g., leadership, compliance, legal, and professional development) in alignment with organizational goals and core values. This position plays a critical role in promoting a continuous learning culture by enhancing the knowledge, skills, and abilities of Hydro employees at all levels of the organization to successfully perform their jobs now and in the future.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Partners with key internal stakeholders, such as Legal, Compliance, HR (plant and BU), Communications, Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental, to promote and develop engaging custom in-person training course content and deployment of standard course content to promote onboarding, safety, quality, and compliance.

Guides/consults/coaches business leaders and employees on new hire onboarding, training and development, activities and tools impacting the employee’s life cycle.

Develops, maintains, and tracks virtual and in-person training materials and resources for employees at all levels including the development of end-user guides and engaging presentations.

Delivers in-person and web-based training, including coordination of training logistics and delivery of train-the-trainer sessions.

Conducts individual and team performance consulting/facilitation sessions using assessment tools (e.g., DISC, 360-Feedback & OPQ. SHL) and best practices.

Manages the centralization of ENA HR documents and standardization of HR processes to make them consistent and accessible to end-users and promote the sharing of information (e.g., SharePoint).

Develops evaluation and measurement procedures, using various methods of analysis including onsite observations of onboarding and training programs to assess the effectiveness of learning and development initiatives and provides recommendations for continuous improvement across ENA.

Collaborates with the Global Learning Center (GLC) on development, implementation, and evaluation of online training, as needed.

Coaches on the deployment of ENA operator-based learning management systems, as needed.

In collaboration with GLC and using an SAP Learning Management System, gathers and interprets data on employee learning to identify trends, continuous improvement initiatives and for purposes of communicating information to key stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, as this position will interact with individuals at all levels of the organization, both domestically and internationally.

Ability to conduct needs assessments and develop processes and interactive/engaging programs that promote compliance, productivity, and employee development.

Understanding of training design related to business alignment, behavioral competencies, and workforce planning needs.

Ability to design and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars as needed utilizing a variety of instructional techniques.

Experience in writing clear and accurate documentation and process mapping.
Education and Work Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred, in HR, Psychology, HR/LMS technologies, Learning and Development, or related field. Equivalent work experience is also acceptable.

Minimum of 3 years working in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.

At least 5 years of progressive, dedicated experience in organizational development, learning & development (including delivering in-person training and facilitating individual and high performing team sessions), or related experience. Certification in assessment tools helpful.

Hybrid role (3 days a week onsite at our Rosemont (Chicago), IL office, 2 days a week remote) with flexibility to change to meet business needs. Other home-base locations may be considered

Ability to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
