About the Opportunity

Inalab has an immediate opening for AV Lead Technician. AV Lead Technician will be responsible for leading a team of integration technicians, completing projects in a timely manner without sacrificing quality, and interfacing with clients in a professional and courteous manner. AV Lead Technician will overlook, coordinate and manage on-site installation activities primarily in the Los Angeles area, and is expected to be well-versed in all aspects of installing and configuring AV and IT systems.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Interpreting AV signal flow and architectural layout drawings
  • Physical installation of equipment such as monitors, projectors, screens speakers, touch panels, lifts, microphones, table boxes, computer interfaces, cabling, and tracking mounted equipment
  • Rack fabrication and internal rack wiring
  • Uploading control system code
  • Troubleshooting AV systems
  • Commissioning AV systems with the client
  • Training and mentoring AV Technicians

Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience performing AV/IT installations
  • 2 years of leading on-site installation teams
  • Must be proficient in cable pulling, termination of all types of AV cabling, mounting of all AV devices, testing, commissioning and as-built mark ups

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Infocomm CTS or CTS-I certification is a plus
  • Industry certifications from manufacturers preferred (AMX, Extron, Crestron, Harmon, Biamp, etc.)
  • The AV Lead Technician position requires regular use of ladders, man lifts, power tools, hand tools, occasional lifting of 50+ pounds, standing for extended periods of time and occasional strenuous physical labor. This position requires the use of a company vehicle. Passing a pre-employment screening process to include MVR, drug screen and standard background is required.
