Summary
The Warehouse Associate role will be required to perform tasks involving physical labor in the shop and will be required to operate a variety of hand tools and power tools. The job responsibilities of this position vary daily based on the needs of the business. Responsibilities will include assisting all departments in the warehouse with the primary focus on the following: Packing, Bundling, Labeling, QC and any other general task. As a Warehouse Associate, you are expected to know and learn all positions and be able to assist your co-workers as required. You will work directly with the Warehouse Lead and assist with all daily tasks. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for following all safety protocols and workplace policies. All new hires are part-time temporary employees for the first 90 days of employment. After 90 days, and a successful review, a part-time permanent position will be offered.
Job Expectations
· Be intimately familiar with the J&A Sales workflow process
· Develop a comprehensive understanding of equipment and materials
· Assist other departments and co-workers as required
· Daily upkeep of general workspace
· Comply with Workplace Safety Rules & Regulations
· Accurately using a tape measure to confirm dimension.
· Always ask for clarification and understanding
Requirements
· High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (Or prior work experiences)
· Have a positive attitude and commitment to working in a team environment
· Go about your day with a sense of urgency
· Effective verbal and listening communication skills
· Commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety
· Time management skill
· Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
· Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor.
· Pre-Employment physical is required
Work Conditions
· Job requires ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools
· Ability to lift objects more than 25lbs
· Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g., Safety glasses, Safety boots, Hearing protection, Cut resistant gloves)
· Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and humidity.
· Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
· Requires good manual dexterity
· Excellent stamina is required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
