The BSO Corporate Partnerships is part of the BSO’s Marketing Department, responsible for $4M in annual major sponsorship revenue, in-kind trade and BSO Business Partners corporate annual fund memberships.

We have an exciting and dynamic opening for the Director of Corporate Partnership to lead the corporate partnership team. In this key role, you will work across the organization to develop and implement strategies to build new and grow existing corporate sponsorship and partnerships. You will work across all brands to build strong long-term relations through developing unique opportunities to support the mission of the BSO and our partners.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plan to build upon the BSO’s strong, long-term corporate sponsorship base to increase sponsorship revenue.

Develop customized, institutionally integrated sponsorship packages that maximize opportunities/visibility for targeted sponsors and enhance employee and customer/client relationships.

Identify new avenues to sell multi-year partnerships through networking and board relations. Create innovative packaging of POS/Pops/Tanglewood programs and marketing/advertising opportunities.

Identify/solicit new prospects that reflect the influx of global brands in Boston for partnerships in Boston, the U.S. (Pops) and for the international tours.

Write/present proposals, negotiate new sponsorship contracts and renewal agreements. Oversee delivery of sponsorship benefits, and end of season analysis of sponsor branded visibility.

Integrate sponsorships throughout departments. Meet with corporate representatives independently and in tandem with senior representatives and/or colleagues to best market partnership opportunities.

Work closely with Development department to coordinate Corporate Special Event solicitations and benefits.

Oversee stewardship of existing major sponsors to meet contract specifications and internal/external deadlines. Manage key accounts as necessary. Identify new opportunities to keep long term relationships fresh and relevant for existing sponsors.

Manage partnerships team, including Senior Manager, Corporate Sponsor Relations and Corporate Partnerships Coordinator and Directors of BSO and Tanglewood Business Partners.

Staff and represent the BSO at BSO, Pops and Tanglewood concerts/events/tours delegating to sponsorship staff as appropriate. Attend corporate networking opportunities throughout Boston.

Oversee department revenue and expense budgets, as well as reports to evaluate and measure partnership success.

Qualifications: Undergraduate degree. Minimum of five years of senior corporate sales experience dealing with national (and ideally international) clients in either the private sector or non-profit sector, plus significant corporate fundraising and/or marketing or PR experience at a senior level. Ability to function as a team player. Experienced staff manager; ability to delegate effectively, communicate openly. Self-starter with ability to make decisions independently, while collaborating with colleagues. Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to make presentations to senior level groups as well as to build one-on-one relationships with members of diverse constituencies at all levels of authority; strong organizational and writing skills. Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to act as an organizational ambassador leading the team in a poised calm demeanor.
