At KNODE, we believe that it’s not just who you know that’s important, but who you should know. Life sciences R&D-based organizations rely heavily on internal and external experts for critical tasks and projects, but the tools to identify such experts are severely lacking. KNODE has developed a comprehensive knowledge base and user-friendly Web-based application to identify experts and their content automatically in R&D-intensive fields. KNODE is seeking an experienced part-time paid intern to enhance its life sciences business development and other activities. The intern will have full exposure to the day-to-day operation of a life sciences technology start-up, while also playing a hands-on role in helping to prospect, pitch and close new partners for its new platform, as well as curate our knowledge base.

Responsibilities
Work to identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partners to expand KNODE’s footprint
Review biomedical terms and taxonomy; inspect researcher profiles for accuracy and consistency
Assist in preparation of materials and presentations for strategic partners, academic organizations, and investors
Help manage contact databases, attend conferences/networking events, and participate in client conference calls.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree; preferably in life sciences, business, economics, or marketing
Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program (MBA, Ph.D. or MD)
3+ years of experience in the life sciences/biomedical industry; software or social media domain experience desireable
Strong verbal communications skills and ability to excel in a fast-paced, lean start-up environment
Ability to work independently with confidence, coupled to a team-player attitude and openness
Understanding and passion for creating leading, innovative products in unique market segments.
