Video / photographer Intern

The videographer will be part of the production team that creates video products. He/she generates and inserts on-screen text and graphics in live productions using cameras, oversees editing and streaming video for a variety of Internet uses and formats. The videographer will operate the portable equipment and works with the other production staff in pre-production planning and production. She/he reviews the footage and eliminates the segments and scenes where things have gone wrong using editing software.

The film or video editor will responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.

· Strong communication skills. Applicant will need to keep in touch and coordinate with people across the globe

· Strong interpersonal and organization skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Multitask and prioritize many tasks at once

· Ability to respect and interact with different cultures

· Ability to create their own schedule without being micromanaged

· Knowledge of the film industry is preferred, though not required.

72 Dragons is a production company based in Hong Kong with staff in both Hong Kong and New York City. 72 Dragons partners and collaborators are in different parts of the world, including Canada, France, England, Dominican Republic, Mexico among other countries.

72 Dragons is a collaborative community of filmmakers and media-interested persons around the world. The vision for 72 Dragons is to have a group of ‘dragons’ in every major city to enable film and media to creatively generate content in a collaborative context. 72 Dragons is seeking to create a framework to assist people to realize their talents by working with like-minded people and combining skills to get things done. Distributed idea generation and content creation using combined skills from the film community is one of our key visions.

The Interns will also have the opportunity to learn the process of production from the initial idea to a final product. The company projects range from documentaries to web series to feature films. The Intern will have the chance to work closely with the director, director of photography, and producers. They will also have the opportunity to learn the creative perspective and the business side. The Intern will be strongly encouraged to develop his or her own ideas for production and filming and will be embraced as an active participating member of the team.

This is a part or full time internship opportunity. There might be opportunities for travel and all traveling, lodging, and food expenses will be covered. Unpaid, No salary or stipend.
