The Director of Learning & Development designs, develops and facilitates learning programs for the Luxottica Wholesale organization to enable the development of talent to meet the current and future needs of the business. The Director works closely with internal stakeholders at corporate and in the field to create the most relevant education programs.

Leads the Learning and Development function for the division aligned with the business strategy and talent management objectives.
Designs and develops training programs using a variety of delivery methods; classroom, e-learning, webinars that are results-driven, creative and innovative. Develops appropriate visual standards to maximize adult learning. Areas of focus include Leadership Development, Professional Skills and Sales Training.
Partners with Senior Management and HR Generalists in identifying and developing coaching plans that support succession plan initiatives and key talent development.
Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of all training programs and implements changes as necessary to elevate the level and success of all training initiatives.
Allocates training resource including creating and managing the training budget.
Implements communication strategies to raise awareness and promote learning and development opportunities.
Actively participates in various HR initiatives and projects in support of Luxottica’s HR programs.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Instructional Design, Organizational Development or Communications
10+ years of progressive learning & development/OD experience
Ability to effectively develop and execute a training strategy
Keeps current in knowledge of industry trends and best practices in training
Possesses strong facilitation and coaching skills
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Creative writing ability and proven presentation/platform delivery skills
Travel required up to 25%

Professional certification in Human Resources/Learning & Performance Management (PHR, SPHR, CPLC)
Experience working within a highly matrixed organization
