Position Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Summary: We are currently looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to work in our Phoenix, AZ Data Center. At IM, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for: Inbound and outbound shipments; software-aided inventory tracking, space management. In addition, the S&R Clerk will be responsible for: Inventory Management, Shipping and Receiving of IM materials, Quality and process management, as well as assist with recycling efforts and the development and implementation of supply chain strategies based on 5S.

Unload Carrier inbound shipments
Accurately verify shipments against packing slips and/or purchase orders
Put away stock according to departmental guidelines and Bin Locator System
Practice First In First Out (FIFO)
Accurately input shipments into MRP system (GP)
Maintain a neat and organized work area
Communicate with Procurement and Manufacturing on unidentifiable packages via ‘unable to receive log’
Responsible for incoming and ongoing inventory. Recording all inventory moves by bin location
Perform Cycle Counts weekly, with year-end physical inventories
Facilitate materials to the production lines via pick lists
Learn and utilize best in class processes (i.e.: Kanban, FIFO, 5S, etc.) and ensure proper product/package are audited and labeled correctly for quick identification
Coordinate inter-company inventory transfers
Maintain stockroom and receiving dock area through organization and cleanliness; adhering to storage design principles; continuously driving improvements
Keep equipment operating properly by learning and enforcing operating procedures, troubleshooting breakdowns, and scheduling preventive maintenance and repairs
Quality and Process Management
Identify and appropriately address material supply issues
Cooperatively develop and maintain standardized operating procedures including work instructions for integral material planning processes
Meet and exceed department and personal KPIs
Leverage knowledge of IM’s operational requirements
Delivery and Management of Non Inventory Packages
Serve as primary point of contact for inbound shipments
Monitor, track and provide feedback on performance of delivery, quality and service
Log non-inventory shipments on delivery log and obtain signature when delivering
Properly dispose of warehouse refuse
Refrain from disclosing confidential customer names to nonaffiliated personnel
Assure that all bay doors are pad locked at the end of the day
Assure that all equipment keys are secured and only given to authorized personnel
Assure that all inventory product is secured if stored in an outside location
Restrict access to all inventory cages to authorized personnel only
Ensure all IM security measures are met
Secure and maintain outbound packages until next scheduled pick up
Insure outbound packages are loaded onto carrier truck/trailer with utmost care
Must follow inter-company routing instructions
Ship package through designated shipping system
Forward Service Now tickets with shipment info to originator of the ticket
High School diploma or an equivalent.
1 year’a experience in a high-volume warehouse environment preferred.
Experience with forklift, forklift certified or able to become forklift certified.
Able to operate a pallet jack.
Proficiency in material handling and stock control with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
Unquestionable personal integrity and work ethic
Extreme attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Intermediate PC skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Basic Math Skills
Able to take initiative and work independently.
Strong customer service mindset and driven to find resolution.
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Previous experience with Great Plains a plus.
Able to pass a drug check and background investigation. Security clearance via Government or other agency background check may be required for customer support
Able to read, comprehend, and follow documentation written in English
Able to work rotating shifts including graveyard or swing, including holidays, on a regular basis
Must be able to lift 70 lbs safely over your head. To include standing, bending and kneeling as needed to perform this task. Server lifts can be utilized where applicable
Able to sit and stand for long periods of time
Able to type at a keyboard, use a mouse, focus on a computer monitor for long periods of time without causing or exacerbating any injury or medical condition
Able to safely climb a 12-foot ladder and reach at arm’s length without losing balance
