The Registered Behavior Technician is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA. Direct ABA therapy will be completed by the Registered Behavior Technician for children in the Autism Spectrum Disorder Outpatient program. Implementing behavior intervention programming designed by the Behavior Analyst. Establishing and maintaining a positive helping relationship with client and families. Ensuring the safety of the individual receiving services. Completing and maintaining client files and employee paperwork. Take ongoing data during 1:1 interventions. Directly report changes in client behavior levels or medical conditions to supervising BCBA. Maintain organization of clients files. Assist in researching new behavior intervention techniques that applicable to caseload. Create and maintain behavior intervention manipulatives for behavior intervention plans. Serve as liaison between BCBA and families. Maintain and organize therapy manipulatives. Create manipulatives needed for sessions.
High School diploma or equivalent
Certified/Eligible National Registered Behavior Technician and maintain active certification
Two (2) years experience working with children and adolescents (up to age 21) OR
Two (2) years (48 hours) completed college classes
Must be able to provide individualized Applied Behavior Analysis services
Eligible to participate in state or federally funded programs such as Medicaid
Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
Must have a valid driver license, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.
