Full Job Description
Support the development and maintenance of scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for business analysis. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision and mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.
7+ years of experience with working in a data engineering role
7+ years of experience with software systems, including software requirements, software development, software testing, and configuration management software baselines
5+ years of experience with operating relational databases
5+ years of experience with data streaming, ingest, ETL, and data warehousing technologies
2+ years of experience with software development using languages, including Python, Java, Ruby, Scala, and Golang
2+ years of experience with cloud-computing services, including Amazon Web Services
1+ years of experience with Spark or EMR
Ability to obtain a security clearance
BA or BS degree
Experience with injecting best practices for production monitoring, system instrumentation, and incident diagnostics
Knowledge of Cassandra, DynamoDB, or other Hadoop or NoSql data stores
Knowledge of AWS Lambda
