Duties and Responsibilities: -Monitor the status of the Mohawk Valley transportation network and provide detailed written and verbal reports to the appropriate departmental personnel and partners. -Process and consolidate information received from multiple sources into clearly written situation reports. -Facilitate coordination between other government agencies and municipal partners during incidents and emergency activations. -Compose, record and post information to the department’s 511 system. -Ensure the TMC’s readiness as a coordination center during emergencies. High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read, write and understand English
Ability to multi-task and remain calm during high pressure situations
Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and written
Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
Ability to professionally interact with all levels of management
Must have an aptitude for providing excellent customer service
Proficiency with multiple computer systems, including but not limited to; Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access), CITRIX, and various GIS and web-based information systems
Familiarity with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS).
