What you’ll be doing...
Many of the world’s largest companies rely on Verizon to protect their most critical data and network infrastructure. As a result of the increasing number of high profile data breaches, cyber security has become one of the greatest business concerns for our customers. Verizon is making significant investments in our business to meet the ever-expanding demands of our customers for end-to-end cyber security services delivered on a global scale. Given our sizeable market opportunity, we are pursuing an integrated product, marketing, and sales strategy to drive aggressive growth in our business. As a core member of the security product marketing team, you will take a lead role in enabling our global sales teams’ success in the market.
You will serve as security marketing single point of contact for sales in matters related to proposal development, customer meeting support, activity reporting, etc. and lead all efforts in the design and maintenance of content for internal and external facing security product marketing
You will also lead efforts around developing a framework for, gathering data, interpreting results and providing continuous improvement feedback related to our sales team successes and shortcomings in the market. In doing so, you will be expected to build close relationships with the sales teams, eliciting constructive input and discerning key lessons learned that can be applied to trainings, communications, collateral, etc. to improve the effectiveness of our sales activities.
You will work with cross-functional groups including learning and development and sales operations to update and revise sales training curriculum and materials. You’ll lead the development and curation of use cases and customer references for cyber security key wins and projects.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
A good understanding of and experience in the cyber security market from either a technology vendor or service provider perspective.
Experience in the information technology industries in marketing, training, sales, and/or sales operations roles.
Even better if you have:
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. A strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Strong problem solving skills and be a positive, energetic, creative thinker.
Demonstrated effectiveness in translating difficult and/or technical concepts into communicate effectively with peers and leaders and provide recommendations and direct feedback.
A demonstrated ability of working collaboratively with product and sales teams including experience in designing and delivering effective sales training.
Experience in successfully delivering against cross-functional objectives in a large, complex company environments.
