Peraton is seeking a Network Engineer for a classified program to provide design and planning for enterprise network communications systems including wired and wireless network communications.
Two positions available, one in Springfield, VA and the other in St. Louis, MO.
Responsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options.
Advises network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations.
Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop network requirements specifications.
Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
Analyzes network requirements and capacity and leads design and development activities.
Provides technical leadership for integration of network requirements, design, and technology.
Incorporates new network plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. Develops network architecture and network design documentation.
Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
Guides network development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of network engineering management plans and network integration and test plans. Design and perform integration of new technologies into local and wide area networks.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Provides advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of complex network problems.
Manages transition and migration of networks and development of network addressing schemes.
I nteracts with the customer regarding Network Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
May be assigned responsibility for the management of the systems administration function, including associated staff.
Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
Conducts cost/benefit analysis and provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Conducts testing of network design.
Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field with 5+ years of enterprise networking experience
Minimum of one DoD IAT Level I certification
Must possess active TS/SCI security clearance; candidate with Poly is preferred. May be subject to a polygraph at the government's request.
Familiar with Juniper network systems
Cloud Network experience
CCIE; JNCIE; CCNP; CCDP; and/or JNCIP certification
AWS Solutions Architect certification
Qualfied candidates MUST have an active TS/SCI clearance and have the ability to maintain the clearance.
