Department Description: The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory consist of 4 procedures rooms and 3 hybrid procedures rooms in the OR. The lab offers a comprehensive range of cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures performed by nationally recognized cardiac interventionist. The structural heart program is comprised of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), valvuloplasty, PFO, ASD, VSD, mitraclip, septal artery ablation.

Job Summary: Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in purchase order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment for the Cardiology procedural areas including the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Holding Area. Reports to the Technical Director of Interventional Cardiology.
Creates and sustains process to perform daily review of departmental par levels and daily inventory usage reports. Responsible for creating/submitting/approving appropriate purchase orders for inventory replenishment.
Creates and sustains processes for daily/weekly/monthly/annual cycle counts. Ensures accuracy of all on-hand inventory in various systems. Manages expiring inventory, and responsible for following proper guidelines for item returns.
Coordinates with Mat. Mgmt. Spec. to assess volume trends based on daily Interventional Cardiology schedule. Reports monthly to leadership team regarding emerging usage/ordering trends.
Foster and maintain open lines of communication with vendors to stay apprised of supply chain issues, backorders, comparable replacements, delivery schedule changes, policy changes, etc. Meets with vendors as needed to assist Technical Director in managing vendor relationships.
Communicate effectively with support staff, technologists, nurses, and physicians regarding all inventory related matters. Proactively communicates with physicians and staff to ensure that inventory needs are being met.
High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in healthcare preferred.
3-5 years related work experience required.
Experience in an operational or health care setting with materials management.
Demonstrated knowledge of GE MacLab System.
Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.
Clinical experience in Cardiology.
