This position is located at our Family Center in Rock Hill, SC.
Under general supervision of Clinic Director, performs routine & non-routine administrative / clerical activities in the Family Center within CCMHC/SCDMH policies.
Perform telephone & face to face reception duties, making PA announcements in a polite & unobtrusive manner, perform client scheduling & rescheduling duties, process messages in a timely manner, perform medical records duties, perform updates in EMR & CIS, including client data & contact information, perform document scanning, obtain consents & process requests for information, process & distribute outgoing & incoming mail & faxes, provide lunch, break & leave time coverage, weekly building lock-up in rotation, make appointment reminder calls, accurately process medication requests in compliance with established Family Center procedures.
Perform administrative, clerical, reception, medical records and billing duties efficiently and accurately in a manner sensitive to & responsive to the needs of CCMHC/SCDMH clients. Provide clerical assistance to Clinic management. Maintain proficiency in cross-trained front office duties, identify clerical/administrative issues & offer recommendations to Clinic Director.
Perform client financial intake duties including benefit verification & communication to clients regarding benefit coverage, prior authorizations for treatment, perform cashier duties including requesting & receiving client payments, daily recording of client balances on daily schedule log to facilitate fee collection, perform daily deposits, provide efficient operation of daily cash drawer including balancing, prepare monthly bank deposit reports, order & maintain receipt books & deposit slips, assist clients w/ billing issue questions, including printing month at a glance reports & setting up payment plans as assigned.
Maintain & work to continuously improve positive, professional & polite relationships with clients & their families, the Public, & CCMHC/SCDMH staff. Work to overcome the stigma of mental illness & mental health services through respectful, friendly, professional and polite client/customer service. Work to minimize barriers to access to services. Pursue continuing education & training.
As instructed, provide state vehicle coordination, submit janitorial & supply requests, alert Clinic Safety Officer & Clinic Director to any potentially dangerous situations in the clinic, assist in the proper collection of outcome measures and client and family satisfaction surveys for all services at the Family Center according to schedule.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State MTE: A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.
Internal MTE: A high school diploma and (2) two years clerical experience; or an associate degree in secretarial science or other related field; or (3) three years clerical experience.
