Responsibilities and Duties

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, this position is responsible for performing clinical supervision of staff in a manner that is consistent with the legal and ethical standards set by the professional field. These duties will generally include, but are not limited to, supervision of clinical staff and trainees, monitoring clinician productivity, providing clinical consultation, clinical program development, and the oversight of clinical staff/intern/trainee training. This position requires extensive mental health experience and knowledge of outpatient clinical services. Clinical and administrative duties assigned by the Director will be consistent with the legal and ethical standards set by the field of mental health and the YMCA’s mission.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience working with diverse youth and families in clinical and school settings.
  • Possess a clinical education background (MA/MS/MSW in counseling, social work, or psychology) and professional license: LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, or PhD. LCSW highly preferred.
  • Current registration with the BBS
  • At least 2 years post licensure
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards of practice, including child abuse reporting laws
  • Experience supervising Master level trainees and interns
  • Possess a current professional ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Know and implement the legal and ethical standards of practice, including child abuse reporting laws.
  • Possess sufficient clinical skills and insight necessary for affecting positive work with clients and their families.
